About me

Here is the short story:

About three years ago I had heart surgery at St. Bernards hospital in Jonesboro. Due to variety of unfortunate (for me anyway) circumstances I was deemed unsalvageable and consigned to the Arkansas Continued Care Hospital (ACCH) in Jonesboro - my experience there is described in some detail elswhere.

For about two years after escaping attempts by the hospital operators to either kill me or render me permanently vegetative and a continuing source of revenue I remained a near invalid for most of two years. During the past year I have investigated that institution and have arrived at the following conclusions:

It was at best a shoddy operation that should never have been allowed to operate for as long as it did and at worst a criminal enterprise that caused the deaths of numerous people.

My life expectancy is probably two years at most because of injuries inflicted by the hospital. While the hospital is now closed the operators should be held accountable.

I strongly suspect that the recent closing of the hospital and it's conveniently quick sale to another medical industry operation is to avoid being held accountable: CEO James Cox was the COO of Ascent Children's Health Services (ACHS) in Jonesboro when, after a series of incidents of endangerment of its charges a five-year-old child died a horrible death, it was closed. Cox became the CEO of Arkansas Continued Care Hospital where - I believe - systematic incompetence and fraud caused the deaths of numerous patients. Now another operation which strongly resembles ACHS is reported to have bought ACCH and will be operating there. I will not be surprised if it is run by Mr. Cox. I don't have the ability to investigate these things - only a law enforcement or regulatory agency can do so effectively. I will most likely be dead within a couple of years and have nothing to lose - some of the people who died at ACCH were much younger.

I have prepared complaints to these state authorities:

  • Arkansas State Medical Board

  • Arkansas State Board of Nursing

  • Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
I have prepared a letter to Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, informing them of likely fraudulent billing.

I have prepared a letter to the Attorney General. It will include the information I provided to the State Medical Board.

I plan to send the governor a copy of the letter to the Attorney General.

I intend to make a criminal complaint against Dr. Copeland (and possibly James Cox) for unlawfully imprisoning me and causing serious bodily harm.

If I do some or all of these things how likely is it that I can be successfully sued? I cannot afford a defense and they would get very little if any money from me but I do own a paid-for home and am considering buying another property - should these be owned by someone other than me before I provoke a lawsuit?

How likely am I to be otherwise persecuted (e.g. prosecution) because I have angered powerful people?

Is making this public (on a website) or furnishing it in printed form to news media or other entities unwise?
